Introducing Preventor’s New Player Interface
We’re excited to announce that the player-facing interface of Preventor Suite has been completely redesigned to prioritize clear, intuitive communication and effectively motivate players to take action. Read on for a brief walkthrough of the interface.
Intuitive Risk Scoring
Each player receives a risk scoring indicating the overall risk level of their gambling habits. The risk scoring is based on gambling data and the player’s own answers to the integrated self-assessment quiz.
The smiley and risk meter are design elements familiar to most players, enabling them to instantly and intuitively understand their level of risk. A brief text explains the risk scoring and leads to the recommended action, which varies depending on the score.
The design is the result of thorough user research, including feedback from over a thousand users, with careful consideration given to accessibility.
High-Resolution Breakdown of Risk Scoring
The detailed analysis helps players understand what is driving their risk scoring. The two columns—one for gambling data and the other for the self-assessment quiz—offer a clear and detailed overview of the risk indicators, highlighting each indicator's risk level, from green to red.
The detailed and visually clear breakdown educates players about various dimensions and variables, helping them recognise their own risk behaviours in the data, encouraging self-awareness, and motivating action.
Personalised Recommendations and Feedback
All players receive personalised feedback and relevant recommendations based on their risk scoring. These are presented transparently and motivationally to encourage action, ranging from educational materials to encouraging limit-setting and breaks.
Preventor includes a library of recommendations that can be customised to suit different environments and jurisdictions.
Brief Motivational Interventions
Brief motivational interventions are short interactions that use psychological principles, such as cognitive dissonance, to raise awareness, encourage reflection and promote behaviour change.
Brief motivational interventions are particularly well-suited for addressing topics such as affordability and spending in a playful and non-confrontational way. The interventions can be integrated into the interface as recommendations or delivered through targeted inbox messages, pop-ups, or banners on the gambling site.
Preventor offers a library of these interventions, customisable to fit different environments and jurisdictions.
Five-Dimensional Self-Assessment Quiz
Preventor includes GamTest, a scientifically sound self-assessment tool developed by psychologists and researchers, that has been proven reliable in numerous studies.
GamTest uses a five-factor analysis to reliably identify early signs of problem gambling. Players answer 15 questions about their gambling habits, and the results are integrated into the overall risk analysis. Any areas of increased risk are highlighted in a detailed overview, accessible through the player dashboard.
GamTest is an integral part of Preventor’s overall risk assessment. By combining objective gambling data with players’ own perceptions of how gambling affects them, we can create a more comprehensive and accurate picture of their gambling habits and highlight potential areas of increased risk and negative consequences.
