As an operator, knowing your customers (KYC) is extremely important to be able to provide a sustainable, engaging and safe gambling experience to customers.

Our self test for players, GamTest, is used by operators worldwide and provides both operators and players with personalised feedback and insight into how gambling is affecting the individual player - and the player population.

In Q1 2022, we’re adding GamTest C and GamTest C+ to our GamTest family.

GamTest C

GamTest-C is a short version of GamTest that focuses on overconsumption, which research has proven to be one of the top indicators for gambling problems.

GamTest-C is a short version of GamTest that focuses on overconsumption, which research has proven to be one of the top indicators for gambling problems.

The condensed format increases the likelihood of players completing the test, thus getting relevant feedback. In turn, this will provide operators with a more comprehensive understanding of the player population.

Players that score high on GamTest-C will be automatically redirected to and asked to complete the full GamTest.

GamTest C+

GamTest C+ is a combination of GamTest-C and JAS Reinforcer, i.e. elements from the Jonsson-Abbott Scale (JAS), that investigates in what way gambling is rewarding for the player. It’s main purpose is to identify early indicators for problem gambling, and how the reinforcement and overconsumption indicators relate to each other.

This preventive measure is designed to engage players that do not experience harm from gambling to complete the test. Similarly, it aims to reach those that may be gambling at an increased risk level but don’t consider their gambling to pose a problem for them. For example, research has shown that players that don’t currently show any signs of gambling problems - but consider gambling their favourite pastime activity - have an increased risk of developing gambling problems later on.

If the player scores low on the questions for overconsumption, they will get their feedback immediately after completing GamTest C+. If they score high, they’ll instead get redirected to the full GamTest.
